Custodian | Security, Risk & Protective Context
Todd Owen
Todd serves as Director of Security for a high-net-worth family and a diversified portfolio of companies operating across the music, software development, and agribusiness sectors. In this capacity, he holds responsibility for executive protection, enterprise security strategy, risk management, and crisis response across multiple business lines and geographic regions. His work is characterised by discretion, continuity, and the ability to operate calmly under conditions of uncertainty and threat.
Todd brings more than three decades of experience spanning U.S. government service, special operations, and law enforcement. A former U.S. Navy SEAL, he conducted global operations in support of national security missions before transitioning into senior security leadership roles within the private sector. This operational foundation informs an approach grounded in preparedness, disciplined execution, and respect for consequence.
Following military service, Todd served as a Director at a global risk mitigation firm, advising transnational corporations and select private clients with international exposure. His work included asset recovery, threat assessment, comprehensive due diligence, and security consulting for private equity firms, investment banks, and hedge funds operating across complex jurisdictions. These engagements required precision, legal awareness, and the ability to coordinate across institutional and cultural boundaries.
Todd’s expertise spans threat and vulnerability assessments, executive protection, kidnap and extortion response, facility and infrastructure security planning, anti-human trafficking initiatives, counter-terrorism and emergency preparedness, and penetration testing. He operates through a trusted global network of U.S. and international law enforcement and government partners, enabling rapid, discreet, and effective response where stakes are high and visibility must remain low.
Within the Aurelian ecosystem, Todd contributes an operational security perspective grounded in real-world exposure to risk, responsibility, and consequence. His role is to ensure that discussions involving people, assets, and institutional exposure remain anchored in what protection, resilience, and preparedness require in practice, not in theory.
